Qualifications and experience
Counselling Skills Course, Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and Practitioner Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Counselling.
After a career working in the Insurance industry, I retrained as a counsellor and have been working at Step by Step recovery since March 2021.
Working with addiction
My passion for working in addiction comes from my own experiences of recovery. The assistance I received in my early sobriety helped me to change my life and I get great satisfaction from helping others to achieve the same.
Working at the lighthouse
My first experience of The Lighthouse was that of a client in 2018 where I came through the doors broken by my addiction. The fantastic care, support and knowledge I received was instrumental in my recovery and inspired me to change my career to train as a counsellor.
Hobbies and interests
Most of my spare time is dedicated to spending time with my family. I also enjoy cooking, walking, reading and travelling.
