Nancy has achieved City and Guilds Level 2 in food preparation and cooking, and Level 3 in food hygiene.
Nancy began her career at 18 years old working for various establishments including schools, restaurants, and health and social care. Nancy became Head Chef at a local hospice and remained Head Chef for 5 years.
Working with addiction
“I applied this positive as I felt it would be an opportunity for me to develop as a chef and diversify into a different setting. There is addiction in my family and I feel this could be a way of making a difference to someone’s well-being.”
Working at the lighthouse
“I began working at The Lighthouse in September 2021 and I love it! It is rewarding and it challenges me, overall it is a very nice place to work.”
Hobbies and interests
“I enjoy listening to music and this plays a big part in my life and supports my well-being. I really like cooking for others. I love watching films mostly thrillers and horrors, and I read when I get the time. I am a big animal lover and I enjoy being with my 2 cats.”
